The Führerbunker in Berlin was a significant underground bunker system during World War II, serving as an air-raid shelter and the headquarters for Adolf Hitler and parts of the Nazi leadership.

Construction of the bunker began in 1943, near the Reich Chancellery, and consisted of multiple bunker complexes, including the Führerbunker, specifically built for Hitler. It was where Hitler spent his last months until the end of the war, making his final military decisions and hiding as the Allies closed in.

On April 30, 1945, Hitler committed suicide in the Führerbunker. The facility was later captured by the Red Army and mostly destroyed.

Today, there are no visible remains of the Führerbunker at its original location, as the area was built over after the war. Nevertheless, the historically significant site still attracts numerous visitors seeking to learn more about the dictator's final days and the dramatic events within this underground complex.
